In the beginning of 2018 we sometimes talk about our next holiday to Thailand.
We quickly agree that we shouldn't come back the day before Christmas again.
After some talking and thinking we come to the conclusion that we are going to Thailand mid
December 2018 until mid March 2019, three months.
And that means a more expensive visa.
We also talk about where we all want to go.
Last holiday Loei has already come
forward, so that's a good candidate, with a few days in
Phitsanulok on the way to Loei.
And Pia wants to go to Luang Prabang in
Laos, which means a multiple-entry visa.
Ubon Ratchathani also seems
nice to go again.
We contact Nethai, our travel agency in recent years,
and ask for prices.
The best price is € 720 per person with Eva Air.
On July 1st we have the tickets.
And on July 3 we go to the Thai embassy in The Hague.
Pia wants to have a Thai passport again so she does not need to have a visa.
We also inform which kind of visa Tom needs, and which documents are needed for this.
It must be a Multiple entry Non-immigrant type O visa.
The necessary documents are simple to produce because we are married and because we are both
retired.
At the beginning of August the postman calls, with a new Thai passport for Pia.

We tell what we have done and experienced during a trip and we also tell what we think about it; no more and no less.
This is not a travel guide, nor is it advice to visit a place or not.
There are other sites for that.
Our opinion about places where we have eaten, drunk or slept is not intended as a (positive or negative) assessment,
there are other sites for that.
It is our view of the situation at a certain moment and that view is influenced by our mood,
the weather and many other factors.
